Beginning June 6, American Contemporary Ballet debuts choreography that hasn’t been seen for over 100 years, by the greatest master of 19th century ballet. Variations on Raymonda features lost dances from Raymonda, a towering beauty of ballet’s past. When ACB restores them in the contemporary setting of the Fashion Theater at California Market Center to live music, Raymonda’s timeless power becomes even more striking. The program also includes excerpts from Raymonda Variations, Balanchine’s 1961 ballet to Glazunov’s enchanting score.
Venue: California Market Center
