Calendar: Nancy Riegelman: A Path of Myriad Views

November 7, 2019

5:00PM - 7:00PM

Exhibition traces the intricate poetics of Nancy Riegelman's fine art practice.

Please join us in the exhibition opening of “A Path of Myriad Views”, a solo exhibition of drawings, paintings, embroidery, and poetry by Nancy Riegelman.
Riegelman’s practice is focused on exploring different ways that the body can perform as an instrument of production within the creative process. Through drawing, sculpture, embroidery, and poetry, her lines articulate ideas about physicality, impermanence, and the experience of time transcribed through the body.
Each piece is constructed in relation to the body’s scale, and performed according to its internal rhythms. Each line delineates the stream of moments in which it was created. It is in such ways that Riegelman’s works inscribe the passage of time and describe the space beyond senses, connecting viewers to realms within and outside themselves–– a place in which one can be present to experience a myriad of views.
