Bad Not Evil finally came out last year on Bomp! (no strangers to resurrection, either), and one hopes that it doesn’t take another 40 years for them to come back. Also tonight: Carla Bozulich’s Bloody Claws (featuring Tara Barnes of Evangelista, Adele Bertei of The Contortions, Patty Schemel of Constant Comment and someone’s blood, certainly), garage-metal merchants Death Valley Girls, pop-punk purveyors Kamala and The Karnivores, DJ Neon Music and Lydia Lunch.
History is written not only in the past but at this very moment. Pierce the veil of time tonight when the Women of Rock Oral History Project presents the first Los Angeles live action in 40 years of all-wimmin Toronto pop-punk band The ‘B’ Girls. Agonizing and long story short: regular appearances at CBGB, toured with The Clash, championed by Debbie Harry — but due to strains and stresses, they self-destructed before even putting out their first album.
