Halloween Drive-in Nights will bring out both contingents for Halloween double features Friday and Saturday, with added modern touches including food trucks (with vegan selections) and preshow entertainment such as a glow-in-the-dark performance by the Alien Dance Band both nights. Friday will offer family-friendly fun with Hocus Pocus and Christine, while Saturday gets a bit freakier with Beetlejuice and A Nightmare on Elm Street. All will be screened just like the good ol' days, with the movies' sound broadcast through your car stereo. Proceeds benefit the Valley Relics Museum. Tickets available for individual films or for both each night.
The novel thrill of watching a movie in the family car or on a steamy date night is really only known by middle-aged and elderly folk at this point. But younger retro film fans and vintage lovers have made for a whole new audience. SFV
