Ten years ago, in a galaxy not so far away, Star Girls Burlesque exploded into the burlesque universe, inspiring a whole new, nerdy universe of sci -fi burlesque and Star Wars specific strip shows. Devils Playground Burlesque and Courtney Cruz Productions were the original — the Jedi’s of jiggle, so to speak — presenting beloved George Lucas characters in bodacious ways that made for astronomical success. Celebrating their 10-year anniversary tonight, Cruz and the Star Girls will rise once again and you won’t be able to resist! Expect cirque performers, dual pole acts, LED visuals and L.A.’s  best tassel twirlers and teasers (with tasers) including Jordan Kensley, Audrey Deluxe, Monica Kay, Bendie Barbie, Diamondback Annie and Leggy Lass Greenleaf. There will also be special space opera performance by otherworldly vocalist Prince Poppycock. Globe Theater, 740 S Broadway, downtown; Fri., Jan. 10, doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m.; $30 with two drink minimum, 21+, VIP packages available. eventbrite.com/e/star-girls-burlesque-10-year-anniversary-show-tickets-76287878097
