However you feel about what Donald Trump said and what Nancy Pelosi did during the State of the Union Address, there was one aspect that felt 100% sincere and inspiring, especially for women. House Democratic women all donned white outfits to show solidarity for women’s rights and celebrate the upcoming 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th amendment this August. Granting women the right to vote, it’s a more meaningful milestone than ever as women are likely to play an important role in the 2020 election. The nation’s largest rare book exhibition, the 53rd California International Antiquarian Book Fair, will be recognizing the momentous anniversary this weekend with a special exhibit called Votes for Women, paying tribute to the brave females who waged a battle to be heard at the ballot. The book fair alone is worth a visit, by the way, with more than 150 preeminent booksellers from all around the world showing and selling rare tomes and classic titles encompassing all genres, subjects and eras of publishing. Pasadena Convention Center, 300 East Green Street, Pasadena, CA; Fri. Feb. 7 (3-8 p.m.), Sat. Feb. 8 (11 a.m.- 7 p.m.) and  Sun. Feb. 9 (11 a.m.-5 p.m.).
