2-Year-Old Dies in Fatal Accident on Dodson Road North

MOSES LAKE, WA (June 22, 2021) – Sunday afternoon, Evalee Sanchez, 2, Moses Lake lost her life in a fatal car crash on Dodson North Road.

The tragic accident happened at about 3:30 p.m., near Dodson Road North and Road 4 NW.

According to preliminary investigations, Lurie Buza, 34, of Maple Valley, was driving north on Dodson Road while Edgar Alba, 22, of Moses Lake, was driving south.

Alba attempted to turn left onto Road 4 NW, cutting in front of Buza’s vehicle, which was approaching the intersection from the opposite direction. There, Buza’s vehicle struck the rear of Alba’s vehicle.

Due to the impact of the crash, Sanchez suffered severe injuries. Paramedics airlifted her to Central Washington Hospital where she later died.

Meanwhile, six others were injured in the crash, including three children, police added.

At this time, no other information has been released. However, the crash is still under active investigation.
