Judith Perez De La CruzEjected and Killed in Rollover Accident near Santa Lucia Road
LOMPOC, CA (October 3, 2022) – Wednesday, Judith Perez De La Cruz died and Eunice Perez De La Cruz and another child were injured in a crash on Highway 1.
Authorities responded to the scene around 7:57 a.m., just south of Santa Lucia Road on September 28th.
Per reports, Eunice Perez De La Cruz was driving a 2002 GMC Envoy and made an unsafe turn. As a result, the SUV overturned before coming to a rest on its side.
In addition, an 8-year-old and Judith Perez De La Cruz were ejected from the vehicle onto the road. Medical personnel arrived and declared 10-year-old Judith Perez De La Cruz dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, 18-year-old Eunice Perez De La Cruz and the 8-year-old sustained serious injuries. Paramedics transported Eunice Perez De La Cruz to Marian Regional Medical Center and airlifted the 8-year-old girl to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for further treatment.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still currently underway.
