Hesperia Head-On Collision Left Elderly Woman Killed

HESPERIA, CA (November 2, 2021) A head-on vehicle crash claimed the life of EunHee Sims last Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred around 7:06 p.m. when a 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser and a 2008 collided on Hesperia Road, north of Eucalyptus Street.

Later on, investigators determined that a northbound Toyota veered into the Southbound lane for unknown reasons.

As a result, 62-year-old Honda Driver, EunHee Sims of McArthur died at the scene.

Meanwhile, 62-year-old Toyota driver, Joe Martinez sustained significant injuries and was transported to a trauma center.

Eventually, Hesperia Officials learned that Martinez fled from home about an hour before the collision occurred after deputies responded for a disturbance.

Hesperia Officials are now investigating the incident.
