60-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Deadly Collision on Camelback Road

PHOENIX, AZ (May 20, 2022) – Tuesday evening, 60-year-old Ernest Keister was fatally struck in a bicycle accident on 51st Avenue.

Around 7:45 p.m., police responded to the scene near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to reports, a southbound sedan struck the bicyclist for reasons unknown. Paramedics arrived and transported Keister to a hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Additionally, the driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

At this time, an active investigation into the crash is underway. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal collision on 51st Avenue.
