53-Year-Old Modesto Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Hillview Drive

FREMONT, CA (February 10, 2023) – Wednesday evening, Erik Mora was fatally struck in a 2-car accident on Niles Boulevard.

The deadly crash happened around 8:27 p.m., at the intersection of Niles Boulevard and Hillview Drive.

According to reports, one vehicle was heading south on Niles Boulevard while another vehicle was turning left from Hillview Drive. There, the two vehicles collided.

Upon impact, both cars struck another unoccupied vehicle. As a result, the first vehicle ended up on the east curb, while the other car caused minor damage to a nearby residence.

Medical responders arrived and pronounced 53-year-old driver Mora, of Modesto dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the second driver, described as a 19-year-old Fremont man, to a trauma center.
