Wrong-Way Collision on Interstate 15 Left Four Fatalities

LAS VEGAS, NV (January 19, 2022) – Monday night, Erica Marie Morell and three others died in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 15.

The crash happened around 6:00 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 20.

Per reports, Morell was driving a red Cadillac north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 for reasons unknown. Eventually, she collided with a Toyota pickup-truck head-on, causing the Toyota to burst into flames.

Due to the impact of the collision, 37-year-old Morell succumbed to her injuries and pronounced dead.

Additionally, all three people inside the Toyota pickup were pronounced dead. Meanwhile, paramedics also rushed two people in other vehicles to a hospital for further treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, evidence revealed that drinking may have played a role in the collision. An active investigation remains underway at this time.
