Hit-and-Run on Washington Street near State Route 299 Left One Man Injured

California Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 6:24 p.m., near State Route 299.

Officers found one pedestrian lying on the ground, just east of the roadway, assisted by good concerned citizens.

Furthermore, the pedestrian sustained major injuries from the collision.

Meanwhile, the involved driver reportedly fled from the crash scene, and continued northbound on Washington Street.

As per preliminary information from the CHP’s investigation, the pedestrian was walking eastbound across Washington Street. Afterwards, a dark metallic gray car, possibly a Toyota, traveling northbound, approached at an unknown speed.

Officials say the right front of the pickup-truck struck the pedestrian.
