24-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Semi-Truck Accident near Highway 202

TEHACHAPI, CA (February 10, 2022) – Saturday evening, Eric Christopher Chambers died in a wrong-way crash on Highway 58, authorities said.

As per California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred just before 10:00 p.m. on February 5. Emergency crews arrived in the westbound lanes of the freeway, near Highway 202.

Per reports, 24-year-old Chambers of Chisago City, Minnesota was driving his pickup-truck east in the westbound lanes. As a result, he eventually collided head-on with a westbound semi-truck.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medical responders pronounced Chambers dead at the scene. Although, reports did not offer any information on the state of the semi-truck driver, as well as the exact cause of the collision.

Moreover, towing services were required to remove the damaged pickup-truck from the scene. Authorities have not released any further information regarding the collision at this time.
