This is one of the longest-running DUI crackdowns we can remember. It started last weekend, continues this weekend, and doesn't even hit its namesake holiday until next month.

We're talking about the two-week Labor Day weekend drunk-driver enforcement program throughout L.A. County.

Police are giving you heads up about their whereabouts with the hope that you'll think twice about getting behind the wheel after downing a few. Here's the 411:

-Today and tonight from 4 p.m. to midnight extra Los Angeles Police Department vehicles will be on the streets of its Central Bureau searching for drunk drivers. Cops call it a “saturation patrol.” The bureau includes downtown, Boyle Heights, Westlake, Echo Park, the northeastern portion of South L.A. and more.

-Tonight from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. the Los Angeles Police Department will be running a checkpoint at Jefferson Boulevard and Western Avenue.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. an LAPD checkpoint will be happening at Highland and De Longpre Avenues in Hollywood.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. another LAPD checkpoint will be waiting for you at Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Oxnard Street in beautiful North Hollywood.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. the department will be running a DUI checkpoint at Sepulveda Boulevard and Raymer Street in scenic Van Nuys.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Pasadena police will be manning a checkpoint somewhere in their city (they're not telling us exactly where).

-Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. L.A. County Sheriff's Department deputies will be operating a checkpoint somewhere in the city of Palmdale (they're not saying exactly where).

-Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. deputies will be running a checkpoint somewhere in the city of Compton (they're not saying exactly where).

-Saturday from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. the LAPD will have a checkpoint waiting for you at Central Avenue and 81st Street in South L.A.

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. a checkpoint will be happening at Osborne Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard in Pacoima.

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. a checkpoint will be operating at Lincoln Boulevard and Maxella Avenue near Marina Del Rey.

-Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. the LAPD will have extra units on the streets of North Hollywood as part of a DUI saturation patrol.
