48-Year-Old Driver Killed in Auto Collision on Glassell Street

ORANGE COUNTY, CA (May 24, 2022) Enrique Jimenez-Colorado died in a two-car crash on Collins Avenue, Friday evening.

The accident took place at the junction of Collins Avenue and Glassell Street around 9:50 p.m.

As per reports, an older-model Dodge Ram rear-ended a Honda Civic turning north on Glassell. The crash caused minor injuries to the Civic’s occupants; a man and a woman, both unidentified.

However, due to the impact of the crash, the Dodge driver, who police later identified as Enrique Jimenez-Colorado, suffered critical injuries and died at the hospital.

Authorities have currently withheld the names of the other involved parties. Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
