Man Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Rodeo Driver near Lariat Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (November 10, 2021) – Emilio Rodriguez, 76, died in a pedestrian vs vehicle collision on Rodeo Drive on Monday evening.

The tragic pedestrian accident happened about 5:08 p.m. near the intersection of Rodeo Drive and Lariat Road.

According to reports, Rodriguez began walking westbound on Rodeo Drive outside of a marked crosswalk for unclear reasons when he was struck by a motorist in a northbound car.

Officers arrived and interrogated the driver, who cooperated with authorities.

Meanwhile, emergency responders took Rodriguez to Loma Linda Hospital, where he later died.

At this time, officials said it is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, CHP Officials are investigating the fatal pedestrian crash.
