45-Year-Old Dies in Vehicle Crash near Lake Avenue

FRESNO, CA (April 27, 2022) – A head-on crash on American Avenue claimed the life of 45-year-old Eliseo Vasquez Sunday evening.

According to the authorities, the crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on American Avenue near Lake Avenue, southwest of Kerman.

Furthermore, officers said Vasquez veered into the opposite lane while traveling on American Avenue.

Consequently, it crashed onto an oncoming Mini Cooper being driven by an unidentified 45-year-old woman.

Eventually, paramedics arrived and declared Vasquez dead at the scene while they transported the female driver to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, Fresno County officials are currently investigating the reasons leading up to the crash.
