Fatal Semi-Truck Collision Left Eleazar Rivera Mejia Dead
BAKERSFIELD, CA (October 20, 2021) – A head-on crash claimed the life of Eleazar Rivera Mejia Saturday evening.
Officers responded to the incident around 7:00 p.m., when Mejia’s vehicle veered onto the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a semi-truck on Comanche Road.
Due to the impact of the collision, 32-year-old Mejia, of Arvin died at the scene.
However, the semi-truck driver did not sustain any injuries.
At this time, Bakersfield officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the head-on crash.
