Fatal Collision Kills Female Pedestrian on Comanche Drive in Arvin

ARVIN, CA (September 30, 2021) – Monday morning, an unidentified woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on Russell Street.

The incident happened around 7:34 a.m., on North Comanche Drive at Russel Street. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

In addition, investigators claimed that the elderly woman walked directly into the path of a car traveling south on Comanche Drive and Russel Street. The pedestrian died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the 17-year-old driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the responding officers.

Later on, the authorities only described the deceased victim as a 71-year-old woman.

In the end, Arvin officials closed down Comanche Drive for three hours between Sunset Boulevard and Buena Vista Boulevard.
