Collision near Santa Paula Nursing Home Left Elderly Woman Dead

SANTA PAULA, CA (October 7, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a pedestrian crash on March Street that killed an elderly woman Friday.

The fatal incident occurred around 7:46 p.m., at the Vista Cove Care Center on the 200 block of March Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to investigators, a vehicle traveling at a slow speed struck the woman and ejected her into the parking lot. Upon arrival, the first responders discovered the 79-year-old woman down on the road.

Paramedics transported the female patient to Ventura County Medical Center where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

At this time, the identity of the deceased woman remains unavailable. Once available, more information will be provided regarding the pedestrian crash on March Street.
