Female Victim Killed in Auto Collision on Cherry Street

TULARE, CA (December 14, 2021) – An 82-year-old woman died in a car crash on Tulare Avenue, late Saturday evening.

Officers arrived at the intersection of Tulare Avenue and Cherry Street around 11:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a two-vehicle traffic incident.

According to reports, the driver of a red Toyota was making a northbound turn onto Cherry Street when the vehicle was hit on the passenger side by a gray Infiniti.

Paramedics took the driver and passenger of the Toyota to a nearby hospital for treatment of their injuries. However, the back seat passenger, an 82-year-old woman, died on the scene.

Meanwhile, no one inside the Infiniti suffered from serious injuries. Moreover, all parties have cooperated with the investigation.

At this time, California Highway Patrol officers are not considering drugs and alcohol to be factors in the crash.
