Fatal Hit-And-Run Collision on Myrtle Avenue in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, CA (October 25, 2021) Authorities are searching for the hit-and-run driver that claimed the life of an elderly man on Willow Street.

Officials responded to the fatal incident which occurred last Sunday around 7:50 p.m., at Willow Street and Myrtle Avenue.

Upon arrival, paramedics transported the injured man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Later on, the investigators determined that an eastbound red sedan struck the 65-year-old man crossing southbound in an unmarked crosswalk.

Afterwards, the driver of the red sedan fled the scene before the authorities arrived.

Long Beach police are encouraging anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash to contact detectives at 562-570-5130.
