Sacramento Motorcycle Crash Left Motorcyclist Killed and Passenger Injured
SACRAMENTO, CA (July 13, 2021) – Wednesday, an elderly man was killed and a child was injured in a motorcycle accident on Grant Line Road.
The fatal accident happened around 8:30 p.m., at Grant Line Road near Richert Lane, said California Highway Patrol.
Officers later discovered that the crash involved a motorcycle and a pick-up truck. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
Later, the authorities identified the motorcyclist as a 68-year-old Elk Grove resident who died at the hospital. Meanwhile, his 11-year-old passenger suffered from major injuries.
In addition, the pickup-truck driver did not sustain any injuries.
CHP Officers are still investigating to identify the factors that led to the motorcycle accident on Grant Line Road.
The surrounding area on Grant Line Road was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the road has since reopened to traffic.
Furthermore, the identities of those involved remains unknown.
