63-Year-Old Bicyclist Killed in Traffic Accident on Harbor Drive

SAN DIEGO, CA (June 23, 2022) – A bicycle accident on Beardsley Street claimed the life of a 63-year-old man, Tuesday morning.

The bicycle accident occurred on Beardsley Street and Harbor Drive around 9:30 a.m., according to initial reports.

Furthermore, police said the bicyclist ran into a car in the Barrio Logan area in San Diego.

Moreover, investigators stated a man on a battery-assisted bicycle attempted to pass a box truck by swerving into the left lane.

However, he struck the front right fender of a Dodge Charger also traveling in the same direction.

Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency crews.

Although, their identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin. Those with further information regarding the accident are encouraged to contact San Diego Officials as soon as possible.
