Hit-and-Run Collision in El Cerrito Left 67-Year-OId Man Hospitalized

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 7, 2023) – Monday evening, a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on University Avenue left an elderly man injured.

The collision happened at around 9:11 p.m., at the 5400 block of University Avenue in the neighborhood of El Cerrito.

According to the report, a vehicle struck the man who stepped into the westbound lanes. Afterward, the driver exited his vehicle and helped the victim to the curb before fleeing the scene.

Medical responders transported the 67-year-old man to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
