80-Year-Old Man Hurt in Traffic Accident on Skyline Drive

SAN DIEGO, CA (August 25, 2022) – On Saturday afternoon, a car crash on Leghorn Avenue left an elderly man with serious injuries.

According to the police, the accident happened around 12:25 p.m. at the intersection of Leghorn Avenue and Skyline Drive.

Investigators said a black Toyota Yaris struck a wall while going northbound at the 600 block of Leghorn Avenue.

Afterward, the Toyota continued and ran past a posted stop sign at the intersection, where they collided with a westbound vehicle.

Ultimately, the Toyota wrecked down an embankment, before finally hitting a cinderblock wall near 200 Leghorn Avenue.

Authorities said the 80-year-old male driving the Toyota was transported to a hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
