2 Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Collision near Yosemite Freeway

FRESNO, CA (January 26, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on Floral Avenue Friday morning, killed Efrain Hernandez and Alejo Jeronimo Moreno.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m., near Yosemite Freeway.

Per reports, a Ford F-150 truck driven by an unidentified 17-year-old was heading north on Yosemite Highway with visibility of about 150 feet due to heavy fog.

Upon approaching Floral, they collided with an eastbound Chevrolet van, driven by Hernandez. The impact broadsided the van, leaving 34-year-old Hernandez and 20-year-old Moreno, one of the passengers, with critical injuries.

Hernandez died at the scene while Moreno died later at the hospital. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck was uninjured.

At this time, further details regarding the incident were not available.
