45-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near Almeria Avenue

FONTANA, CA (February 8, 2022) – Friday evening, Edward Escobedo was killed in a pedestrian accident on Foothill Boulevard.

According to the investigators, the incident occurred around 9:00 p.m., just west of Almeria Avenue.

Reports indicate that the pedestrian stepped into the No.2 westbound lane of traffic while walking along the north curb of Foothill. There, the passenger side mirror of a westbound Isuzu utility truck hit the pedestrian.

Upon impact, the pedestrian was rammed into the rear metal utility area of the truck, causing fatal injuries. The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division later identified the deceased victim as 45-year-old Escobedo.
