Walnut Pedestrian Accident Kills Man on Mobility Scooter

WALNUT, CA (July 13, 2021) – Sunday, 68-year-old Edmund Saldivar was killed on his mobility scooter near Amar Road in Walnut.

The fatal incident occurred around 4:35 p.m., on the intersection of Amar Road and Country Hollow Drive.

According to reports, Saldivar was crossing the intersection when the driver of a vehicle struck him. Furthermore, the driver pulled over after realizing that he hit something and discovered Saldivar on the ground.

As a result of the impact, paramedics pronounced Edmund Saldivar dead on scene. At this time, the Walnut Authorities are investigating the cause of the fatal pedestrian crash.

The surrounding area on Amar Road and Country Hollow Drive was closed for a brief time. But, the road has since reopened to traffic.
