26-Year-Old Fresno Man Pronounced Dead after Big-Rig Collision near Lincoln Avenue

EASTON, CA (May 10, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, Edgar Maravilla was killed in a semi-truck accident on Cherry Avenue. Authorities responded to the scene around 5:15 a.m., just south of Lincoln Avenue. For reasons under investigation, the driver of a sedan struck a parked big-rig. Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced the male driver of the sedan dead at the scene. It was unclear if the parked semi-truck was occupied at the time of the accident. Later, the Fresno County Coroner’s office identified the deceased driver as 26-year-old Maravilla, of Fresno. No further details regarding the Cherry Avenue car accident have been released to the public. Fresno County Officials will provide more information once available. Anyone who witnessed the incident is encouraged to contact the local authorities as soon as possible.
