Police in Bell today announced they have arrested a local medical doctor, Edgar Lluncor, after a patient complained that she had been sexually assaulted at his office in the southeast L.A. County town.

When cops investigated, they say, they discovered from the California medical board that two other women had made “similar complaints” about Lluncor:

The woman who complained to Bell police said she went to Lluncor's office at 4276 Florence Ave. to be checked out for stomach pain and was assaulted during a medical exam, the department says.

Detectives who looked into it called the doc's actions an “extreme departure” from standard practice and ultimately arrested Lluncor on suspicion of penetration with a foreign object at his office Oct. 23, Bell police said.

The doctor is now out on $100,000 bail, they said.

Cops in Bell are now asking for any other possible victims to step forward and contact investigators: (323) 585-1245, ext. 253.
