Deadly Fresno Motorcycle Crash Kills Rider

FRESNO, CA (July 6, 2021) – Police are investigating a motorcycle accident on Wednesday that claimed the life of Edgar Jimenez Jr. in Fresno.

The fatal crash occurred around 11:30 a.m., when a motorcyclist struck the side of a white pickup truck near Gettysburg Avenue.

Due to the impact of the collision, 26-year-old Edgar Jimenez Jr was pronounced dead on scene.

Meanwhile, a woman inside the pick-up truck was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.

Fresno police later stated that speed might be a factor that contributed to the motorcycle accident. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.

The surrounding area on Barton Avenue was closed for a brief time. But, the roadway has since reopened.
