Woman Arrested Following Dead Two-Vehicle Crash Near SR-92

SAN MATEO, CA (April 25, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, Eden Palmer was fatally injured in a wrong-way collision along Interstate 28 near San Mateo. According to the report, the crash happened around 2:38 p.m. on Highway 280, south of State Route 92 in the town of Woodside. The California Highway Patrol stated that a white 2010 Ford sedan went north in the southbound lanes of I-280 for reasons under investigation. Subsequently, the Ford crashed into a southbound 2019 black BMW SUV in the No. 4 lane, near SR-22. Unfortunately, the first responders declared the BMW driver dead at the scene. Later, the San Mateo County coroner’s office identified the deceased female driver as 54-year-old Eden Palmer from San Francisco. In addition, paramedics transported a 14-year-old boy in Palmer’s front passenger seat to Standorf Medical Center for significant injuries. Reports claimed that a CHP officer spotted the suspect running naked along the highway after the collision. Police later identified the Ford driver as 24-year-old Constellatia A. Martin of Campbell. Authorities detained Martin for suspected vehicle manslaughter and also took her to Stanford for treatment of major injuries.
