What with the Lakers winning another title last night, some remarkable first round games in the World Cup, and a handful of disasters both at home and abroad, you may not have noticed that yet another food blog launched yesterday. Unless Anderson Cooper covered it and we didn't notice. Why would Anderson Cooper cover a new food blog? Perhaps because it comes to us from CNN.

Eatocrasy is CNN's toque into the food ring, and it's run by managing editor Kat Kinsman (AOL Food, Slashfood). Kinsman has provided us this video by way of introduction, in which she fondles dough, watches a whole pig being carried through a city crowd, and learns how to pronounce guanciale (Italian pronunciation: [ɡwanˈtʃaːle]). “Everybody eats; everybody has a food story,” Kinsman rightly points out, a microphone trailing from her leopard dress as she walks and eats her way through the streets of New York City's Chinatown. Well, if things get boring, Kinsman can always put an apron on Christiane Amanpour and have her cook up a dish while she gives insightful commentary on, well, anything. Oh, right, Amanpour left for ABC. Just please don't let Larry King anywhere near the kitchen.
