Eat24, the food delivery app, is very, very proud of itself. Why? Because they figured out that Americans like porn.

The app's marketing team is making a big deal of the fact that they are now advertising on porn sites. They're so proud of this fact that they reached out to the Weekly about it, and have a dissertation-length blog post on their website about the revolutionary move of making slightly grody ads appear next to naked chicks on porn sites.

The idea of advertising on porn sites may not actually seem that revolutionary, but in fact it is. Eat24 did their research (boy, howdy, did they do their research), and found that 99% of ads on porn sites are for other porn sites. So they figured something else — like food delivery — might stand out. But they couldn't simply put regular old food ads on the sites, they needed to come up with something raunchy, to, you know, fit in and stuff. Hence:

(The monkey ad actually got rejected from the porn sites, coz animals and porn don't mix.)

Apparently the strategy worked. Eat24 got more clickthroughs, more business, more results across the board than advertising on other sites like Google and Facebook. And advertising on porn sites is really cheap apparently, because, well, porn.

They even came up with a cutesy new term for the state of porn-orderers: horngry. And did enough analysis to proclaim that L.A. is the 4th “horngriest” city in the country.

So, Eat24 delivery people of L.A., congrats. Chances are the apartment you're delivering that footlong to got the idea from another kind of footlong. Take the tip, but maybe consider wearing gloves.
