EAT.DRINK.ART is a fundraiser benefiting the hub for the region's most culturally diverse art, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery, or LAMAG. And be sure of this: They don't call the event a “kaleidoscope of the senses” for nothing. Expect a showcase of outlandish visual and performing art, live painting, sketching with nude models, giant puppets and live clay-tossing and wheel-throwing, as well as beats from KCRW DJ Dan Wilcox. That's followed by performances by musical talents from The Voice, American Idol and The X Factor. (Sadly, that means backup musicians, not Kelly Clarkson.) If you can't splurge on the VIP reception, which includes dinner catered by the great Kris Morningstar, you're still in luck, with food trucks including Let's Be Frank, the Urban Oven, Postcards Central American Soul Food and Coolhaus to sate your cravings. A silent auction features works by Larry Bell, Alice Fellows, Joy Feuer, John Frame, Mark Steven Greenfield, Heather Lembcke,Leonel Matheu,Ed Ruscha, Gregory Siff and Wayne White. Come celebrate and support LAMAG's continuous contribution to SoCal artists and art lovers. Barnsdall Park, 4800 Hollywood Blvd., E. Hlywd.; Sat., Sept. 13; $30-$40, entrance at 7 p.m. with three drink tickets; $100-$110 VIP with access to reception and silent auction preview starting at 5:30 p.m. (323) 644-6275, lamag.org, barnsdall.org.
