La Mesa Resident Injured in Motorcycle Accident in San Diego

SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (April 26, 2021) – Wednesday, a hit-and-run crash on 58th Street left 45-year-old Dustin Deason amputated.

According to CHP, Deason was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle along the left lane near Trojan Avenue.

Meanwhile, an oncoming white car swerved in front of the motorcycle. Deason then attempted to avoid the vehicle by veering right. Deason was unable to avoid striking the vehicle.

Upon impact, the suspect immediately fled the scene while Deason was left in a state of shock when he noticed a portion of his foot was severed.

Eventually, the doctors were able to reattach his foot but complications forced the doctors amputate his left leg at the calf.

At this time, the San Diego County Police are investigating the incident.

Authorities are encouraging anyone with information about the crash to contact San Diego Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.

Finally, friends and family of Dustin Deason set up a GoFundMe page to help with Deason’s medical and other expenses.
