Dung Huynh Survives, 2 Killed in Fatal Highway 70 Multi-Car Accident

YUBA, CA (April 8, 2021) – Monday morning, 41-year-old Dung Trung Huynh survived a fatal wrong-way crash that killed two motorists on Highway 70.

Authorities received reports about a collision around 6:15 a.m., March 29, near Chandler Road.

According to reports, A Ford F250 traveling southbound on Highway 70, south of Lower Honcut Road, was allegedly swerving between lanes and driving at a high speed. Minutes later, the F250 crashed with a northbound Ford Explorer.

As a result, the Explorer veered off the road, overturned, and went up in flames. Meanwhile, the F250 also overturned in the northbound lanes and struck a northbound Lexus RX3500.

Both the F250 driver, a 38-year-old Paradise man, and the Explorer driver, a 31-year-old of Yuba, died at the scene. Officials have not yet revealed their names.

The Lexus driver, Huynh, was unharmed in the collision.

Authorities have not verified if DUI was a factor to the crash. However, if anybody has any information about the collision, please call the CHP.
