Dennis RomeroA strip-club patron who was so hammered he drove into two men, causing them to lose three legs between them, pleaded guilty to “driving under the influence causing injury,” the L.A. County District Attorney's office announced this week.
One victim's legs were severed at the scene, authorities said. One of the other guy's legs was crushed and had to be amputated at a hospital. It happened at Sam's Hofbrau downtown:
The March 10 crime was reported after the club closed: Terrence Conrad Meeks, 40, was arrested by cops about 3:05 a.m., they told us.
At first investigators believed it might have been a racially motivated attack, but later detectives said it was just about pure drunkenness.
Meeks rammed his older-model BMW into the victims, pinning them against a parked Mini Cooper in the club's parking lot, according to officials.

Yesterday he entered a guilty plea as part of a deal, the DA's office says.
Prosecutors said Meeks will see more than five years behind bars as part of that bargain, which had them dropping their pursuit of a charge of “driving with .08 percent blood alcohol causing injury,” the office states.
He's not out of the woods yet. Meeks will have to deal with a separate restitution hearing in order to compensate the victims.
Sentencing happens July 17.
