The dog days of summer are here, so  you might be considering cooling down with a cold one. 

Just know that the Los Angeles Police Department and other local agencies don't take vacations from busting drunk drivers.

Yep, your midsummer night's dream could be a nightmare of real-deal jail time. Lucky for you the cops want you to know where they'll be this weekend as they hunt for DUI suspects. Here's your cheat sheet:

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. the LAPD will be operating a DUI checkpoint on Sunset Boulevard at Orange Grove Avenue in Hollywood.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. another LAPD checkpoint will be up and running on Manchester Boulevard at Main Street in South L.A.

-Tonight there will be an L.A. County Sheriff's Department checkpoint operating from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. somewhere in the city of West Hollywood (they're not saying exactly where).

-Tonight from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. sheriff's deputies will be running a checkpoint somewhere in the city of Palmdale (they're not saying exactly where).

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. a checkpoint be happening on Ventura Bouelvard at Columbus Avenue in Sherman Oaks.

-Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be extra patrol cars and motorcycles looking out for drunk drivers in the LAPD's 77th Street Division area of South L.A.. The department calls this a “saturation patrol.”

-Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. Glendale police will be running a checkpoint somewhere in their city (they're not saying exactly where).

-Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be a DUI saturation patrol in the LAPD's North Hollywood Division area.
