Sorry, but Valentine's Day is bad enough as it is, what with the double-priced roses, prix fixe dining scams, and all the added romantic pressure. Oh, the pressure.

Now imagine that, on the weekend before your big date, you got a DUI. The Auto Club of Southern California says a drunk driving bust will cost you “approximately $15,649 or more in fines, penalties, restitution, legal fees and increased insurance costs.”

So, yeah, no sexy time for you.

Luckily the Los Angeles Police Department is giving you fair warning. Cops will be out in force again this weekend searching for inebriated motorists. Here's the 411:

-Tonight from 7 p.m. to midnight the department will be running a DUI checkpoint on Rosecrans Avenue at Menlo Avenue in luxurious Harbor Gateway.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. a DUI checkpoint will be expecting you on Alvarado Street at Seventh Street in the chic Westlake District.

-Tonight from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. another drunk driver checkpoint will be awaiting your arrival, this time on Santa Monica Boulevard and North Bronson Avenue in sobriety-obsessed Hollywood.

-Tonight from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Pasadena police will be “deploying to stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers” in their wild city, according to a statement.

-Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. a checkpoint will be running on Sherman Way at Yolanda Avenue in, like, oh my God, Reseda.
