The L.A. County District Attorney's office today answered the question of what you get when you're so drunk behind the wheel that you take out three legs at a strip club:

More than five years behind bars. That's the sentence handed to 40-year-old Terrence Conrad Meeks for the horrific events of March 10 at downtown L.A.'s Sam's Hofbrau:

Meeks got behind the wheel of his BMW after the place closed that night and pinned two fellow patrons standing in the parking lot against a Mini Cooper, authorities said.

At first there was talk of a possible race-related hate crime. But no, cops said, Meeks was just plastered.

One victim lost both legs fairly immediately, police said, while the other had to have one of his legs amputated.

Five years (plus four months) was actually a deal. Meeks pleaded guilty to the case and had one charge of “driving with .08 percent blood alcohol causing injury” dismissed, prosecutors say.

Now he gets to spend his time in state prison. No tipping allowed.
