If you think it was hot out this week, just wait until you hit the streets tonight.

The LAPD was a little quiet in the weeks following its massive holiday DUI crackdown. But now that cops have had time to catch their breath, they're coming back with a vengeance.

Lucky for you, with have the 411 on DUI checkpoints and drunk patrols. Listen up:

Tonight from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. the LAPD will have extra patrol cars and motorcycle units on the streets of Hollywood to look specifically for drunk drivers. 

Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be a DUI checkpoint at Ventura Boulevard and Tyrone Avenue in Sherman Oaks.

Saturday from 4 p.m. to midnight there will be extra cops on the streets of the Eastside, a.k.a. the LAPD's Hollenbeck Division area (including places such as Boyle Heights and Monterey Hills). They will be looking for DUI motorists.

Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. you'll find the same deal – a DUI “saturation patrol” – in the heart of South Los Angeles, in the LAPD's 77th Street Division area.

Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be another saturation patrol, this time in the Newton Division just south of downtown.

Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be a DUI checkpoint on Sunset Boulevard at Ogden Drive in Hollywood.

Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. the L.A. County Sheriff's Department will have a checkpoint operating somewhere in the city of Pico Rivera (they're not saying exactly where).

Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. Glendale joins the fun with a checkpoint at an undisclosed location.

Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be extra, anti-DUI cops on the streets of the LAPD's Topanga Division area in the Valley.
