The worst of it is probably behind you when it comes to DUI checkpoints and patrols. The holiday crackdown was epic.

But any day can be a bad day if you drink and drive. And the LAPD and Sheriff's deputies will be back on the case this weekend — starting tonight.

Here's what we know:

Tonight from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be extra officers in cars and on motorcycles looking specifically for drunk drivers in the LAPD's Southeast Division area of South L.A.

Tonight from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be an LAPD DUI checkpoint at Broadway and Florence Avenue in South L.A.

Tonight from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. there will be an L.A. County Sheriff's Department checkpoint somewhere in the city of Lakewood (they're not saying exactly where).

Saturday from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. there will be an LAPD checkpoint at Sepulveda Boulevard and Raymer Street in Van Nuys.

Saturday from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Sheriff's deputies will be back on checkpoint duty, this time somewhere in the city of Bellflower (they're not saying exactly where).

Sunday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. the LAPD will have extra DUI patrols in the department's Van Nuys Division area.
