Two-Vehicle Collision near Epicenter Left 2 Injured

SANTA ROSA, CA (April 22, 2022) – Saturday evening, a two-vehicle accident on Piner Road left both drivers injured, authorities said.

At about 7:10 p.m., the crash happened on Piner Road at the railroad tracks in Santa Rosa, near the Epicenter.

Eventually, the crews took both drivers of the involved vehicles to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, the crash blocked the Eastbound Piner Road at Bay Village Circle for about an hour.

Meanwhile, the fire officials notified the SMART officials about the crash to raise awareness of an approaching train.

Shortly after the tracks had been cleaned, the northbound train arrived at 6:41 p.m., while the following train arrived at 8:41 p.m.

An investigation into the collision is still ongoing.
