Deputy Vehicle Involved in 2-Car Collision on Buena Vista Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (May 25, 2022) – Thursday morning, two drivers were hospitalized following a patrol vehicle crash on Ming Avenue.

The incident occurred at the intersection of Ming Avenue and Buena Vista Road around 8:21 a.m.

According to reports, a Bakersfield Police patrol vehicle collided with another vehicle as it was traveling through the intersection with its lights and sirens on.

Eventually, paramedics arrived at the scene and transported both occupants from each vehicle to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Officers closed both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Moreover, authorities have not yet released further details leading up to the incident. At this time, an active investigation into the crash on Ming Avenue is currently underway.
