Rollover Crash on 91 Freeway Traps SUV Driver

RIVERSIDE, CA (August 24, 2021) – A two-vehicle rollover crash on 91 Freeway in Riverside trapped one driver on Sunday morning.

The accident occurred around 9:05 a.m. on the freeway’s westbound side near Magnolia Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Honda Pilot and a Ford Mustang collided, causing the Pilot to roll over and trap its driver.

CHP said good Samaritans pulled out two children out of the Pilot. However, it was not immediately clear if anyone had been injured.

Furthermore, due to an investigation, officials closed the eastbound lane for a few hours before reopening it around 10:00 a.m.

At this time, the California Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
