1 Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Collision near Country Village Road

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (January 27, 2022)Tuesday night, a driver was pronounced dead after a solo-vehicle rollover crash on 60 Freeway.

The accident happened around 11:30 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near the Country Village Road exit.

According to reports, a 2004 Toyota Solara veered off the highway for unexplained reasons before flipping and rolling multiple times. The vehicle then came to a rest in a nearby embankment.

Officers arrived at the scene in a matter of minutes but could not locate the motorist — just the severely wrecked Toyota. Initial investigations concluded the driver walked away from the scene sometime after the collision.

However, the victim was soon located and pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, an investigation into the rollover crash on 60 Freeway is still underway. Those with information are encouraged to call the CHP’s Riverside headquarters at 951-637-8000.
