SUV Driver Dies in Vehicle Crash near Emigrant Pass, Several Injured

ELKO, NV (June 2, 2022) – On Thursday, one unidentified individual died after a semi-truck collision on Interstate 80.

The incident happened at 10:57 p.m. along Interstate 80 near the west side of Emigrant Pass.

Furthermore, according to reports, the SUV crashed into the back of the semi under unknown circumstances. Meanwhile, two other vehicles crashed into the guardrails after trying to avoid the initial crash.

Eventually the first responders pronounced the SUV driver dead at the scene due to the extent of their injuries.

Additionally, paramedics rushed several people with various injuries to local hospitals for further treatment, although their current conditions or identities are not available at this time.

Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Authorities are now investigating the fatal collision and will release updates once they are made available to the public.
